Rachel started her career as an undergraduate at Stony Brook University College in Stony Brook, NY. She studied Psychology, Sociology, Arts & Culture. Rachel began working as a care coordinator, program developer and resource specialist throughout Long Island connecting with individuals and families at all levels. While working with a local Nurse Practitioner, Rachel was inspired to apply for Graduate School to study social work and pursue psychotherapy. She attended Adelphi School of Social Work in Hauppauge, New York while maintaining her already established career in mental health. During her time at Adelphi, Rachel was chosen to intern at John T. Mather Eating Disorder partial hospitalization program, a population she continues to treat. It was also here that she was taught the modality of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. DBT is Rachel’s chosen method of theraputic practice although integration of treatment modules is what she believes is the vehicle needed for success. Rachel continued her career in hospital services working as a Psychiatric Social Worker on Behavioral Health inpatient units for adolescents and adults as well as a Behavioral Health Emergency Room. Rachel established a successful private practice in 2016 and continues to build her client base, as she truly has a passion for the work that she does.
